Three pamphlets by Samuel George Morton : "Brief Remarks on the Diversity of the Human Species," an introductory lecture before the class of Pennsylvania Medical College, 1842; "An Inquiry Into the Distinctive Characteristics of the Aboriginal Race of America," 1844; and "Biographical Notice of the Late George McClellan, M.D.," read before the Philadelphia College of Physicians, 1849. Also are included biographical memoirs of Morton by Charles D. Meigs, M.D. (1851), William R. Grant, M.D. (1852), and George B. Wood, M.D. (1852, 1853).
