Letter confirming the granting of the degree of Doctor of Medicine : Jefferson Medical College
Printed letter informing McAllister that the faculty have decided to recommend to the Board of Trustees that the M.D. degree be conferred upon him at the next Commencement. Signed by the Dean, R. M. Huston.

One letter dated Feb. 1, 1851 to Rugh from Dean R. M. Huston stating scheduled dates of examinations that month; one letter dated Mar. 1, 1851 to Rugh signed by Dean Huston informing Rugh of the faculty's decision to recommend him for receiving the M.D. degree.
