Correspondence between Mrs. Melrose E. Weed, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association, and Dr. Bland while he was serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in the India-Burma theater. Bland, a 1942 graduate of Jefferson Medical College, gives news about his military experiences.
Correspondence with Dr. Evan B. Hume
Copies of letters written by Mrs. Melrose E. Weed, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association, to Dr. Hume, then a Major in the U.S. Army attached to the 38th General Hospital during World War II, and Dr. Hume's responses, some of which accompanied snapshot photographs he sent to Mrs. Weed for The Clinic, the JMC yearbook. Two letters were sent by Dr. Hume as "V-Mail."

I. to Dr. Walkling, describing conditions on the Pacific islands at the close of World War II and activities of other Jefferson alumni; carbon copy of letter by Mrs. Melrose E. Weed, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association, in reply, 8 Oct. 1945. Dr. Taft was stationed with the 383rd Infantry, 3rd Battalion.

Letters concerning dissatisfaction of Jefferson Medical College alumni with regard to hiring of the faculty
Typed letter dated 10 Dec. 1892, George M. Gould to [W. W.] Keen concerning injurious statements allegedly made by Keen about the relative aptitude of certain JMC alumni for JMC faculty positions; accompanied by an undated printed circular to all alumni by H. A. Brous, M.D. proposing resolutions to be voted on by the Alumni Association; and a letter (ALS), H. A. Hare to Ross Patterson, 14 Sept. 1921, in which the letters were transmitted.

Correspondence between Ward, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Jefferson Alumni Association, and various alumni concerning their losses as a result of the San Francisco earthquake and fire of April 18, 1906. Correspondents include Dudley Smith, L.W. Spriggs, and Oswald Beckman. Also included are addenda to a list (not found in the collection) of Jefferson men affected by the disaster.
