Scope and Contents Three pamphlets by Samuel George Morton : "Brief Remarks on the Diversity of the Human Species," an introductory lecture before the class of Pennsylvania Medical College, 1842; "An Inquiry Into the Distinctive Characteristics of the Aboriginal Race of America," 1844; and "Biographical Notice of the Late George McClellan, M.D.," read before the Philadelphia College of Physicians, 1849.
